Ivy League Sessions

028 : King Creosote

Not since Cate Le Bon's infamous session has a visit to the Ivy League studio been so brief and so shrouded in mystery.

On that occasion, Cate managed to give chief blogger Si the slip by turning up a day later than planned. If it hadn't been for the speedy skills of hawkeyed snapper Matt and lightning quick engineer Rob there would have been no evidence of her visit at all!

Some months later, King Creosote emailed to confirm his session an hour before arriving in the studio. Calls were made, watches were tapped, laces were tightened and Rob appeared like magic, studio keys in hand. Matt was only moments behind but by the time he charged headlong through the door, King Creosote had gone.

Without pausing for breath, Matt was back out on the street, hot on his trail. He finally caught up with him as he rushed through the doors of The Gate on his way to soundcheck. 'Click!' Matt had got his man, providing photographic evidence to support the three mysterious accordian led folk songs that Rob had captured on tape.

Chief blogger Si had been given the slip again.
